Google’s New Mobile Algorithm: How Your Business Could be Affected

Google’s new mobile-friendly algorithm update, planned to launch April 21, 2015, will impact more sites than the Panda or Penguin algorithms. Why should you care? If your site isn’t mobile-friendly, your rankings will be negatively affected. We’ll explain more about this update, how it will affect your online presence and what steps you should take now to avoid the consequences.

The Algorithm Update (in Plain English)

Ultimately, websites with mobile compatibility will be awarded higher rankings in search results than those without. This means if your website is not mobile-friendly, competitors whose sites are will be displayed above you in Google’s results—potentially reducing lead generation for your business. Google has even been sending webmasters the warning email below about sites that contain mobile issues.
